My personal rules for enjoying TikTok

- skip all ads, lives, or videos with a TikTok Shop product
- skip drama / videos where I don’t know who they’re talking about
- stay away from “serious” topics (like politics)

I don’t use Instagram much but actually enjoy it for following non-people

The feed is already full of ads so I just treat it as a catalogue of sorts

The most useful things are local news & events

Great list. My rule for Instagram is only follow people who’d know my first name if we randomly met on the street

Don’t understand following Brands or Memes or influence-types on the social photo app
