Finally got around to watching Wicked. Had been a couple decades since I saw it on broadway. I thought it was really well done. Singing was amazing. 

I just don’t really care for that kind of movie tbh. Idk why but musicals are better on stage. 

Also, I thought that Willy Wonka musical with Timothee Chalumét had better songs.

Totally agree! Really enjoy musicals onstage, but always find them meh on screen. Just lacks some vital energy I guess

Yeah the way the stage is forced to be creative to force the audience to suspend their disbelief is really endearing when it comes to stage production. 

While Wicked’s set design and production was fantastic and whimsical, you do lose that DIY feel of a broadway show.
