Agree with that description, definitely. It's weird to be at a point in life where I think more about old projects than new ones, partly because of history but also limited time to do new work. I also don't have a calendar of events lined up that require new work, so my current creative context is a lot more retro/introspective. I do feel the pull of some things left unfinished, though. Especially if a piece isn't well-documented and risks simply fading out of memory.

I'm fine with no tip notifications, but nice to be able to check a list of your biggest tippers so you're still aware of it. I can think of a few other things, more nice to have than critical. 1. A board showing outgoing vs. incoming tip balance. Not critical, but it can be hard to get a feel for the flow of microtransactions. 2. A balance board would be extra useful if it had indications of "seasons" or just week by week historical balance. 3. The option to use a cast action to tip another amount than your per like amount. Thanks for putting in the work! 🫡

God, ain't that the truth. 😅 60% the time I want to bring some of my old works back, the rest of the time I think it's unhealthy to obsess about archives and I should focus on new work. These pieces of yours feel like classics to me, mind you. Would have fit perfectly in the big op art show last year. 😍

A quick Google reveals snarky comments about how Virtual Boy (and most likely Sega Glasses, too) wasn't "real" VR, just a stereoscopic display. I tried some high end VR helmets back in the 1990's and I'm not sure it really made much difference (except maybe for head tracking..) 🤷‍♂️ 😅

Been using @tipn as my primary tip mechanism over the last week, and I'm digging the simplicity of it. No more checking allowances, worrying if a tip is valid or not. Tips are USDC (stable, universal), just set an allowance and a ¢ amount/tip, every like sends a tip. The act of tipping isn't visible, so the performative social aspect falls away. The option to use a cast action as a tip trigger would make sense, but if the per tip amount is low it doesn't matter.
