Reading "Doppelganger" by Naomi Klein at the moment (slow going only because looking at my phone is my default in transit), and it also speaks to how authorities in a field can feel like shadows of each other. Even when opposite in every way. I mostly remember Paglia being held up by anti-feminist intellectuals as an alibi, a free pass that meant that they didn't have to change. 🤷♂️
