Now that channels use a membership model, Warpcast should introduce user sortable feeds. Ways to sort that would make sense: - By engagement - By recency - By moderators - By followers - By non-followers This would allow channel members to surface content in the ways they find most appealing.

Like Reddit? I’d definitely love to see different ways to slice a channel but casts only go back one month by design so it will be hard to see “all time” like Reddit. And that’s the first thing I do when I check out a new subreddit. Show me most liked of all time. The top 10 posts give me a good indication for the subreddit.

Thanks! Not sure what it is but something bugs me about that < 1% argument. It's completely rational and logical and maybe that's the problem. What if it turns out the 1% who use that functionality are the most creative, most interesting content producing people, but they get bored of what feels like a design-by-numbers social network that lacks some random irrational but fun choices...

This is kind of the same as my argument for why I think video should be allowed for all. The common refrain is “no one makes videos anyway”. But I think that’s because video creators know they can’t start out here in the first place. If a popular video creator is looking for a new platform, they won’t even consider Warpcast.

I still have no idea how new people earn video rights here.

Yeah. It's tricky one... if you draw the line to close you stifle creativity and synergy, if you draw it too far you waste energy on things that nobody uses
