Not necessarily. I've been pretty vocal that I think some form of staking is fine, but I don't think that removing openrank is a good move. It's clearly improved the Farcaster experience exponentially. 

The site isn't riddled with low effort 'comment for my tips' spam anymore. Or at least not as much as it was in prior seasons.

That's a great idea actually. It would help avoid the big sell-offs at every airdrop date.

What if it was switched to earned tips being given the option to take vs stake. 50% of earned tips if you take at claim day, 125% if you stake for 3 months, 200% after 6 month, 300% after 1 year? 

Instead of forcing a stake upfront, give the option at claim.

I absolutely agree I was here this season even though I didn't get paid (5 per day) 😂and I didn't sell my degen but locking for 3 months is not attractive

I think maybe time held metric could also be used, that way if somebody needs money asap they can still get, without having to wait for a couple of months 🤷‍♂️
