On this day in 1934, notorious American outlaws, Bonnie & Clyde were gunned down in a shoot out by Texas Ranger Francis Augustus Hamer. 

More than 20,000 people attended Bonnie’s funeral, making it difficult for her family to reach the grave.

Clyde was buried privately alongside his brother.
