On this day in 1934, notorious American outlaws, Bonnie & Clyde were gunned down in a shoot out by Texas Ranger Francis Augustus Hamer. More than 20,000 people attended Bonnie’s funeral, making it difficult for her family to reach the grave. Clyde was buried privately alongside his brother.

20,000? How famous did they get. I mean, back in the 1930s, that was definitely a huge feat. There's artistes today that don't get that number of people coming to see them when they're alive 😭 15 $degen

Lol yeah for real. I can't imagine trying to have my siblings funeral only for the crowd to be so big that I couldn't. Would be crazy.
