Todays /success topic of the day: What’s one outdated practice or belief that you think needs to be challenged or discarded? I think we need to change the practice of saying “the customer is always right.” This can lead to toxic client relationships and to unreasonable expectations. It’s ok to say NO. What do you think?

“im not creative” how many people have said that as a consequence of having been raised as they were, or brought up by an educational system that didn’t worry about bringing the best out of them, but forcing them into constraints. you need to be an engineer. if not you can’t add value to life so we get to see only the creative genious of those that are crazy enough to not care about what people say how many voices have we not heard? how many paintings have not been painted? we are all creative it’s on our nature as human beings

Wow dude, right on. I had been saying “I’m not creative” my entire life until actually giving it a try here. I’ve learned that I do have a creative side and a good imagination for some things. So it’s been more about learning how to embrace the creative things I am good at rather than trying to force myself to get better at a creative thing I’m not good at. Example: I’m good at making memes so I embrace that. I’m not good at drawing so I don’t embrace that.
