I think part of the issue is that @jacek is too busy building to really get a sense of how changes are being received by the community. 

Often times, the loudest voices are the minority of opinions.

I hope he’s not listening to a loud but vocal minority. Because everyone I’ve talked to liked the current season.

A utopia typically ends quickly (it's inherently doomed to fail, as the word's etymology suggests). The thing is, people will probably move on, growing tired of the constant changes in such a short time. This indicates a clear lack of direction, or at least a lack of communication. We had a very generic cast a few weeks ago saying, "We heard the community," from someone who only discovered the paidgroup channel a few days ago, even though it's been around for three months, and who listened to a handful of people in just two casts. How is this "hearing the community"?

What caused OpenRank to completely fall apart and get shut down in one month? The lack of communication is what frustrates me. If you don't have the time (and I believe you don't), hire someone to handle PR.

Exactly, as I mentioned earlier. This all boils down to the degen team needing a dedicated PR person. Instead, we have Jacek handling it, who only discovered the paidgroup channel—the most farmable channel ever—two weeks ago and, even worse, endorsed it.

Power badge doesn’t have anything to do with your allowance. They removed that change after like 1 week.

The people trading each other degen back and forth are still going to do that next season.

Requiring people to stake won’t fix it. And removing all of the emphasis on quality content is just going to bring back all of the “come here and get paid” BS casts.

I disagree with your opinion, because this season I tried hard, but I couldn't get a power badge, and my daily was 5 degen, while I saw many people who were really farming and giving each other 5k degen!
This season was for the benefit of some people

Anytime I see staking and locking, I get nervous. 

It means the devs are relying on forcing people to hold rather than wanting to give them reasons to.

Count me in. Ranking based on money would bring chaos to the middle to lower “class”

I probably would just because I intend to be here on FC and still involved with degen next year. 

But I doubt many people have that same commitment.

Next season if base on token locks only whales will feast 😁 but it will help the price tho. If many will locks their dollars.. but its hard to imagine you will lock your money for a year 😅

Agreed. I’m not saying this season is perfect. 

But it’s dramatically improved the quality of content here…

Should be combined both ranking and staking. Openrank is great but i feeel like they just dont have enough members to solve everything and their ranking formula is not correct so its hard for people to increase their rank and allowance. Of course i have good rank this ss and i feel so fking good but for others, its not that easy

TL;DR: Staking and incentives should exist, but they should not be linked to having allowance.

If the token is to grow and the target is people who stake 1M or more, these people who are not in the game today due to lack of time will have an incentive to enter the game with less effort. That's it, isn't it?

The coolest thing about allowance is curating interesting people, whether they are well-articulated individuals or people doing interesting projects within the community, thereby improving and strengthening the entire community. Those who come in with money and little effort won't have the time or patience to do this curation (with rare exceptions) because they simply don't do it today.

These individuals need to get into the game and have incentives, but that shouldn't be the definitive factor in who should have allowance.
