When to hold and when to fold. When you’re holding an investment that hasn’t run yet, how do you decide what to do? Do you wait it out, trusting it’ll pop, or cut your losses and put the money into something showing real momentum? This is something that I am still learning through practice. I tend to hold losses for too long and sell winners too fast. Weighing patience versus opportunity cost can be a real challenge! What’s your strategy? How do you make the call when everything is pumping except your bag? 😂

you're never going to hit all of the trades you want. here's a few tips i'd give people (nfa / dyor) - don't get emotionally attached to the tokens if you're just in it to trade. - don't worry about the ath. you're never going to time it. - if it goes low enough and you're going to make a few $ - hold - you've really got nothing to lose until it's tax season (and then sell) - look around for opportunities to use tokens by staking or in lps for passive income - don't leverage trade (no matter what anyone else tells you)

I'm patient and just hold until it goes, or I'm at least in profit.

This feels too topical... The most important thing to learn here is to make the decision and not kick yourself if you're wrong.b It could tank and you have to avoid the "if only i sold" thoughts. And then the other side of "if only i had held" if it runs. Make your decision and make your next move, Only look back if you're willing to learn.

Great question. For me this is when fundamentals come into play. If the fundamental case has not changed then I hold and potentially keep adding to my position depending on my exposure level. If it's purely a technical trade then I should already have stops and take profit levels built in so I would just wait for one of them to hit unless I needed the capital for a trade that looked more profitable short term.

I’ve done all of the above, I tend to hold too long and then I’ve had stages in my investment life where I sold way too soon. Facebook is a good example for me. I like what we’re doing here with Moxie, it’s smaller money but you can see the potential. Investing in others is one of coolest aspects. Maybe I’ll be good at this cause it’s tied to making things and creating. I’m still searching bro. Thanks, O

If it concerns my shares, then I look at the reports of the companies, fundamental. If it's a crypt, it's random 🔀 😂

Diamond hands baby.💎If something’s on the dip, I’ll swap out into something that’s pushing and and just replace funds in the bag at the same take out price with a little extra from profit🤷🏼‍♀️ Still waiting for a few bags to pop off but. Have a few long term plans and a few short term gainers that bolster long term growth🤙🏽🤙🏽

Lmao this is a good topic for the day. This happens to me a lot when I was still gambling on many shitcoins. I remember that I was super early at everything on BSC Days like the presales for GMR (Gamer Finance) / BabyDoge / and many more Banger Presales at Unicrypt that time. I think it all comes to how big is your investment, the higher you invest the more you get to fold so easily because you will be satisfied with your earnings. While on the lower investments you will be holding until your target profit comes. Then it will comes on how the Team manage their tokens that is based on Marketing and how noisy the group chat is.

Haha my main ethics is patience, I try to take good entry when it's red. Whenever it's red , I make stable profit, I never want greedy profit. This is my way to fill my bag @maretus.eth

Most of my holdings where I really have conviction I hold even through tough times. Call it fomo, call it emotional attachement - crypto and especially the last 2 cycles have toughened me up in that regard. Maybe that's why I'm still holding a lot of NFTs from the last cycle. When it comes to meme/shitcoin trading I'm quick in cutting losses and move on to something different.

"Deciding when to hold or fold is a tricky balance. A solid investment strategy, including stop-loss orders, can be helpful. It's often wise to cut losses early to minimize potential damage. However, patience can be rewarded, especially if you believe in the long-term potential of your investment. Ultimately, the best approach depends on your specific circumstances and risk tolerance."
