We always hear “time is money,” and while I agree with that, sometimes it’s just as important to unwind. What you do with your downtime can fuel what you do the rest of the time. For me, spending time outdoors is key—even though I work a remote job that’s 100% online. Those short solo trips around the block or to the park really recharge my energy and focus. It’s also where some of my best ideas come to life (I think, anyway 😂). What about you? How do you recharge after a long day?

I take long, leisurely baths in a bathtub filled with warm water for 30 minutes to an hour. I also go to hot springs on the weekends. It's relaxing and I often come up with unexpected solutions to problems at work. I can't believe there are people who only take showers every day.

Absolutely, I agree! It’s easy to get caught up in the “time is money” mindset, but downtime is so valuable. Like you, I think getting outside makes a huge difference. There’s something about fresh air and a change of scenery that resets the mind and sparks creativity. For me, I love a mix of things sometimes a walk in the park or a hike if I have more time, but other days, it’s as simple as listening to music or picking up a book. And sometimes, just taking a few minutes to do absolutely nothing can be the best reset. Those little moments make it so much easier to tackle the next day with fresh energy.

Working on art is my happy place, helps me express any emotions I have bottled up throughout the day - a place to channel these things are needed so that I can decompress from the stress of my day job. Exercise also helps me stay grounded, skateboarding and yoga are my big outlets for that.

I agree 100% buddy!. I go out for a walk with my little girl or with my dog, that's where I'm most able to connect with ideas. If I'm really blocked, I go out with the basketball to shoot some hoops. Music is also a great companion!

For me it's always the Ocean, in one form or another. When I used to be a loan officer for 9 years in the mortgage industry, I would (try to) leave enough time after work to either surf or fish, or at least go to the cliffs and mind surf waves while enjoying a frosty adult beverage. Still do all of this but spend so much time fishing for work the wind down is the other two. I don't feel right when I am away from the ocean for more than a couple days. I like the mountains, the rainforest and my number one all time unwind was Tahiti. Most ideal place I have ever experienced. Unwind is ingrained into their culture. If you ever get the chance, go there. Life changer guaranteed 🌊

Switching things up during the day makes me feel more productive by the time it's done. Whether I'm doing a sport, tidying up the place, taking a solo stroll, or hanging out with my family, it all helps me get stuff done. Even a quick trip to the store can do the trick. No matter what it is, mixing it up helps me handle a bunch of tasks and gives me that satisfying feeling of getting things accomplished)

Touching grass and just staring in the outside world is really good and relaxing. For me I usually play games with my Phone or watched anime in the weekdays. But mostly on the weekends going out to restaurants or Cafe to eat and unwind.

I’ve always been more of an indoor person, so to recharge, I go online, play some games with Kdot playing loud, and maybe watch a short movie before getting back to work. Yes, time is money, but we’re not robots haha 😅—we need breaks to keep going strong!

You're so right bro....downtime is essential! After a long day, I find that stepping away and resting really helps. Since I live with my friends, I like to sit with them, have fun, and share a few laughs. It’s a great way to unwind and feel recharged. One thing that really helps me relax is listening to good, calm music. It’s amazing how these moments of rest can spark new thoughts or just help me feel more balanced. Getting outdoors is also such a great idea; I’ll have to try that more often!🥰🥰🥰
