told a crypto skeptic today that it enables digital property rights and it clicked for him so many foundational concepts in this space are still foreign on the outside, sometimes forget that smart dude, had only thought of crypto as an investment - a highly speculative one ofc lol

I am still struggling to understand the digital property rights however ~ even after having minted and collected. It seems to be the Wild West. Some (very few artists include or define usage rights). What are your thoughts on this? What is the default? Is there one? Would love hearing how others navigate this.

great q on the artist side i think they’re separate - the β€œproperty right” is owning the single piece of art on the chain itself, no one can say β€œu don’t own that” bc it’s written in code that they do - however, when it comes to anything after that in other β€œrights”, there rlly are none rn for most pieces of art, but that will probably change as the technology to give collectors more rights improves

Sloika added permission rights to their contracts. They were the first platform to do it and then it became popular on 2022. Seems like that is gone now. Sloika disappeared and so did that.
