I lived in this cottage for a month in the forest of British Columbia. It was the coolest place I've ever lived. BUT, it was also totally dysfunctional with so many problems and the landlord only cared about how it looked and not if it was a functional residence (i.e., none of the windows opened ). The highlight was that there were also mice living there and one ran across my head while I was sleeping. The IDEA of it was cool though. Yeah.

It's a spectacular place. I wish I could live there forever, but I'd fix the windows so they could open. I don't mind the mice either, to be honest. I've always liked having one. It reminded me of a cabin where I spent a weekend. I was magical. I would love to repeat.

ah how cute! Well, the windows would need to be replace with different windows that open. It was so weird. It was something I didn't even check when I looked at it. I just assumed it had windows that opened. It's actually illegal to have that in a rental. In case of a fire and you can't get to the door, there's no way to escape. I used to open both doors (there were two) to get air in there and I always worried a bear would walk through the door. It wasn't impossible as there were bears in the area. I saw their scat. Also cougars were there too. I moved to a new cottage that was super cute, but modern with normal facilities. It wasn't as fantastical as this one though. This one looks like it's from Lord of the Rings. It was also cold in the forest, even in June. It would be like 12C and I would be wearing wool clothes and then I'd go up the road to exist the forest and it was summer and 23C. LOL
