I don't even have a tracker. Should I get one?

Does it only count steps? For example, when I do pilates, does it not count for anything? My phone is always with me, but not when I’m doing pilates.

I don’t have a watch because anything I wear on my wrist gives me an allergic reaction. But since I need to monitor my heart, I’m considering getting one.

I use my apple watch. If you don't have something that tracks your steps, I'm not sure how it would work or does a phone track you? But then you always need your phone with you. Although I guess my phone is mostly with me, or nearby in any case, like if I'm at home or just in the yard.
