These are very broad, but OK. Many, many kinds of context windows to "finding a mate" from hookups to dating to more formal commitments. Doubly complex because context also involves projecting your own great qualities as a mate while selecting the ones you find in others. Broadly speaking, the main job I would say is "context window alignment." Do they see the world in a similar context as you? is there overlap in needs and fulfillment physically, chemically and worldview that it feels right and inspiring and also has appropriate room for growth?

They say any trouble in a relationship is a communication problem. Communication problem generally means you are not navigating the same context window.
