🌶️ take: yoga is overrated. like much of health / medecine it is a cookie cutter solution for all. Instead, everyone should have a “flow” of hyper-personalized combination of stretches and strength exercises that target *specifically* their body weaknesses and ailements, provided by a physiotherapist.

By yoga do you mean asana? That's the stretching stuff. The point of asana is to help prepare your body for meditation (it's hard to meditate if your body aches) And so if it's solely used outside that context then I would agree with you! Very overrated.

But! Having a set of asanas that you like is basically the same as having a personalized stretching routine. So it depends on preference!

Yes exactly. By yoga I mean what most people will think of - ie what “yoga” classes are mostly composed of.
