1/ Letās Talk About Expectations in the DEGEN Community As we continue building DEGEN together, I think itās important to address something fundamental: what we should expect from one another. Right now, DEGEN is one of the only platforms where someone can earn hundreds of dollars with almost no authentic engagementājust by reposting low-effort or spammy content. Platforms like Google Ads or Twitter would never allow that kind of behavior to be monetized, and it raises an important question for us as a community: why should we?

2/ The truth is, this kind of farming and value extraction doesnāt contribute to the ecosystemāit dilutes it. When people prioritize spamming over creating meaningful content, the value of the entire community declines. Itās a drain on the people who are here to build something real, and itās not sustainable in the long term. At the same time, I recognize that weāre navigating this together. If youāre contributing authentically, whether itās through thoughtful posts, helpful comments, or just showing up and engaging in good faith, you should feel valued here. But to make that happen, we need to set higher standards as a group.

3/ This is not about punishing peopleāitās about curating an ecosystem where quality and engagement matter more than quantity. Thatās the only way we can build something that lasts. So, as we move forward, expect more emphasis on encouraging authentic contributions and curbing behavior that takes advantage of the system. To those who are here to create, share, and collaborate: youāre the heartbeat of DEGEN, and this is about making sure your efforts are rewarded. Letās set the tone for what this community can beābecause weāre building something special, and it deserves to be protected. Weāre all in this together.
