I’m visiting my grandma this morning. 

Every day, for several hours, her 90-year-old boyfriend, Paul Herber, comes to see her. Despite his age, he still drives and maintains a small farm. Each morning, he brings her fresh milk from his only cow, and then they sit together and read.

My grandma just turned 96 and has poor vision, but doctors have refused to operate due to her advanced age. So, Paul reads to her every day—his favorite romance booklets. Having never married, he has a deep love for stories about love.

It’s heartwarming to sit here and witness this quiet, intimate ritual—the tenderness between two elderly people, sharing time in such a simple yet profound way.

A few weeks ago, I lost my grandmother. She was a kind and lovable woman. She always put out food and water for the birds and cats in her yard, and she would even sing to the cats. She loved dancing and laughing, and she never stopped smiling, even until her last moments. The love between @angelikakollin's grandma and her boyfriend reminded me of the love my grandmother had for life.
