a little DIY electrical work from previous house

bsmt lights used to go out or flicker, poke this rats nest to fix 😵 definitely was a fire hazard so i had to sort that out

- drew a diagram to remember what connected to what
- undid it all, trimmed and cleaned up the wires all pretty
- drilled holes through the joists to keep wires up
- put it all back together with new marettes and stuffed into a junction box

aha in my experience electrical is pretty chill, it's plumbing that terrifies me

before taking on this small cleanup i had a little experience under my belt - took down a structural wall between the living room and kitchen which had a ton of light switches in different places

friend helped, he does high voltage electrical but also can do household stuff which built some confidence

older project from 2019, i had to do a bunch of crap up in the tight attic, and here is one of the many diagrams he made for that which i used as ref for my little solo fix
