Okay I really don't get why people are so worked up about RFK having had a parasite. Can someone please clue me in?

IMO: if a normal person doing normal things got a parasite, NBD but he is not a normal person doing normal things He is a person who 1. Seems to have compulsion for messing around with dead animals he finds (bear, whale) 2. is threatening to people who enjoy aspects of modernity and/or scientific progress, and so there is an irony. Ie “of course the guy who enabled almost 100 child deaths to measles in Samoa got a parasite” or “this guy wants to take away my Diet Coke yet he got a parasite”

Okay I can understand this. Especially in the light of the first point. Obviously a parasite in your brain isn't very common, especially in the US, but in general parasites are so soo common I always thought why tf are people so worked up about this?
