strong agree. the design surface for channel focussed apps is under explored. we have useful building legos already with neynar, automod and openrank -- channel rankings and channel feeds are in a good spot. apps can further customize, curate and moderate channel users and feeds.

How can you identify reputable users within a community or channel?
- create channel specific power badges/user segmentation. incentivize good curation permissionlessly.

How to show better content/feeds? Which content should appear first?
- use channel feeds based on your own curated power users and their content (automod+openrank+neynar)

the $5 experiment by warpcast to reward users is a great start for encouraging good users and content on FC. 
what if we could automate this and let clients, apps, channel moderators also do the same easily?

we've been heads down working on making useful rankings to identify and curate quality users and content on Farcaster. /RARE, /Degen, /Build and more are already using global and channel rankings to identify quality users, and share incentives.

we have a prototype of some new rankings for users and casts:
- top daily casters
- top daily /channel casters
- top tipped casters
- top new users (rising stars)
- spammers
- reply farmers

currently /build is using channel rankings to select the curators for our weekly @rounds and global ranking with @automod 

it would be great to experiment with a more segmented approach, for example:
- excluding spammers from the round
- excluding spammers and farmers from the curators group
