Okay, I'll say that: Italian cuisine is overrated. It's just bread, cheese and tomatoes in different configurations. Indian, Korean and Japanese food is much more interesting.

just came back from Sardinia last week; totally disagree with you here if the number of ingredients makes a dish interesting to you, then we have nothing to talk about i always thought pizza was boring (it's bread, sauce, cheese, herbs, right). Sardinians proved me wrong on so many levels maybe you ate at all the wrong joints, Max?

Maybe... but I've been to Italy 10+ times and had meals at many places. Btw I don't want to say that Italian food is mid. It's just overhyped as it's widely considered the best

maybe the hype is the issue then, or maybe your personal preferences lay somewhere else. for example, i've tried some crazy good pad thai, yet I'm not crazy about Asian food whatsoever we all have preferences and it's awesome to be a contrarian! 💪
