I think the Ukraine war is ultimately about the incompetence of our institutions. Drawing wild conclusions like it's about "Poland" or whatever happened 4 billion years ago is just all smoke and mirrors. What is factually true is that the unelected officials calling the shots do not have our best interest in mind.

Directors, Chairmen and Heads of all the three letter agencies for instance. The agenda driven think tanks and profit guided incumbents. Nobody wants this war. Why do we have it then? Because of counter factual theories of Putin wanting Poland while we cannot proof it? Show me the incentives and I show you the outcome.

agreed. But also to convince people to think it is the motivation of an individual that causes a 2 year war is so stupid. As if that would scale. Clearly there is more to it that just Putin‘s ideas
