I wish the community had never adopted "Web3" as a replacement buzzword for "crypto" It communicates nothing more, yet invites even more charlatans And crypto is a fundamentally different concept than any iteration of the World Wide Web It's limiting to frame crypto this way

when i hear crypto, i think more cryptocurrencies and defi when i hear web3, i think more of the larger ecosystem of tech and apps that are being built, that relate to blockchains (NFTs, social apps, DAOs, etc.) curious what others think

same here. to me crypto has investing connotations whereas web3 is a broader term that's focused on using crypto tech to build something new
