imho, I'd push back and say that users don't care about decentralization 99% of the time.

there's plenty of centralized platforms that have unambiguously failed to maintain ToS (or purged some subculture). the irony is that it's more likely the more superfluous the object.

I even said it to Vitalik in person. Back in those days of WoW warlocks were so OP the siphon life nerf wasn't enough they did a few consecutive nerfs and they were all justified.

it's still a half-measure to fall back on the third rail. obviously a nontrivial undertaking to only nerf by dilution, and WoW was captivating (among others), but my point is that the control of the game was so constrained that it could not possibly attain the largest economy w/ subculture retention.

They did. They constantly buffed and nerfed classes, abilities, weapons, talents, and more
