“Elon is losing it” is cope. You don’t have to like him, agree with him or even want him to succeed, but pay less attention to his tweets and more attention to the hardware. (Also Ford is now using Tesla Superchargers.) https://twitter.com/neuralink/status/1661857379460468736

What about people who are big fans of SpaceX, Tesla, and Neuralink but think “Elon is losing it” over Twitter and culture war politics *specifically* because they worry those distractions delay / diminish success of the first three?

I would say this is the vibe, but then again (and ngl I'm not familiar enough w/ this domain), but how much is investor activism going to shake things up? Tesla is doing amazing w/ growing FCF, and that imho is the money behind the conspicuous distractions. 🌶️take: I think Elon sees twitter as already dead....

but with enough spin, he can mess around in pop culture zeitgeist culturally while the aforementioned co's build the actual moat (sheer scale). the only way I can see this backfiring is if enough retaliatory pressure manifests in FAA/ FDA/ FMVSS. still agree w/ @barmstrong & jessep about separation of work | politic

the problem is he’s forcing his own customers to effectively take a political stance the more vocal he is. that’s never good for business, especially if the stance only appeals to the political extremes.
