had one of the best chats about decentralized / onchain commerce today with @orishim, and realised I have so much to share on the topic.

I'll start posting again here to raise awareness that onchain commerce is inevitable, and that you're not bullish enough on ethereum. we'll soon show you why with @slice.

not at the moment, but we're exploring different options. this is an interesting one, how do you imagine it?

coffeeshop is a lindy testbed, imho.

credit card rewards include a redemption menu, wonder if the claim of something as valuable as the raw slices can be foregone or displaced, and lower-level is just freebie NFT or VIP badges for pricing.

we don't need TradFi gift cards in a fully onchain world, but in the interim, have you considered gnosis debit or is coinbase the more direct option?

streak-weighted count should be identity-bound but onchain, so other businesses can drive the metrics.

one meta I'd like to spread is the Very Important Vector, points are just 1-dimensional value. NFTs might as well be wallets and agents in the same breath, might as well bundle gift cards in.

but AI should be able to articulate a much more effective model of commercial viability per subject, some of which are very important at a given place & time.

there's still time for that to marinate.

onchain commerce simply allows new kind of rewards (ie NFTs) and improve existing ones (ie points). there’s not a clear answer on this topic, we’ll just do a lot of experimentation

I can also see gift cards working also onchain, but also considering other options ofc
