some people try to reduce ethereum to “magic internet money” in hopes of attracting speculators to pump their bags. but ethereum is so much more, and “world computer” is a fitting description of its vast potential and capabilities. https://x.com/jacopo_eth/status/1881640341239136471?s=46&t=Xycl0VRHjoxf04tpQIdxLg

how we realize the vast potential and capabilities of the world computer is a challenge of incentives; any narrative is a means to the end, relative to any other method.

sure, I’m just answering why some people are unhappy with the world computer narrative I do believe everyone is free to promote the narrative they prefer, but it’s also crucial that the foundation remains extremely clear on its mission and core values

agreed, EF is on the same level, if not beyond, Bell Labs. whatever emerges has a constant chance of irrevocably changing all timelines of computer science. however, there is a cost not dissimilar to the PC revolution, and one narrative will have urgency & viability, whereas another will accept peaceful senescence.
