quite frankly, I'd group it with a lot of "interesting content" that really is cheap habit-forming growth.

in a similar way, cosmetic DLC is a huge moneymaker. very much a reason to consider mini-apps, but it's not going drive the plot on core developership or some positive-sum wealth effect.
