I have successfully written my first Node.js script! What’s Next for me? Learn about fs, http, and other built-in modules. Explore Express.js for building APIs. Practice by building small projects.

Today's menu featured white yam with vegetable sauce. Although I’ve never been a fan of vegetables in any form, I’ve recently started enjoying them for some reason. I’ve found that mixing the ones I like more with those I like less makes them easier to eat. This approach, I must say, is one of the best ways to maintain a clean and healthy diet.

UI vs Development: A Lesson Learned I recently completed a client’s LMS website, and while it was a valuable learning experience, it came with challenges—particularly with the frontend design. The difficulty? There was no UI provided. I had requested a UI, but the client insisted they already had a website and only needed a revamp. However, what started as a revamp quickly turned into a full rebuild from scratch. Lesson learned: Always ask for a UI, whether you're revamping or building from scratch.

Reusable API Fetch Hook in React Native with Axios & Hooks I find fetching data in React Native to be repetitive. I recently discovered a custom useFetch hook that simplifies API calls using Axios This hook is Reusable across components Handles loading and state automatically And so more I will be posting the useFetch code I used soon... Stay tuned

I've been dealing with this error on my React Native app for days, trying to figure out what went wrong. Turns out, the backend guy never pushed the endpoint online. Both of us had been searching for the issue, going back and forth, trying to trace the problem. Then, this morning, he suddenly called and said, "Lynda, I no push that thing online." Now, looking at this error message again, I can't help but wonder—what exactly was I trying to troubleshoot all these days? The error literally said "not found." Oh don't get me wrong he was insisting he pushed it online.

Yesterday, I was talking with a friend, and he was really upset, saying he already feels like he's failing this year. In his words, "Maama, I haven't even started anything with my life this year." That conversation made me realize that many of us feel the same way—we put so much pressure on ourselves just because we haven’t fully started working on our plans yet. But here’s my advice: take a deep breath and assess where you might be going wrong. If you haven't started anything yet, let this be your reminder to take that first step. And remember, things won’t always go exactly as planned, and that’s okay. Give yourself time, be patient with the process, and most importantly, celebrate even the small wins along the way.

Saying No isn't selfish. It shows great strength and courage. You might be in a situation where you feel stucked but afraid of leaving because you can't say NO. You need to protect yourself, set boundaries and choose what matters. Say NO: to that situation that is not good for you, To that relationship you feel unloved To that job you feel depressed Because at the end only you matters to you

Frontend devs are we okay? Like how are we coping? One day you start a new project on react and everything goes well. The nexday, boom - React router decides to switch things up. tailwind.config decides to disappear from tailwind. Then you start scrolling through docs thinking you are way too back. This can be frustrating sometimes but we gat to keep up with the latest I guess 😔 For me I will keep on shining no matter the shades 🌝
