Citizens will be able to use BTC, ETH, USDC, and USDT to pay for taxes, fees, fines, and permits, according to Mayer Mizrachi. Although public institutions are legally required to receive payments in USD, the city will partner with a bank to handle crypto-to-USD conversions, allowing the initiative to move forward without requiring new legislation.

It is not a unique or new development.
