🇵🇦#Crypto The Panama City Council has voted to become the first government institution in the country to accept cryptocurrency payments. Citizens will be able to use BTC, ETH, USDC, and USDT to pay for taxes, fees, fines, and permits, according to Mayer Mizrachi. Although public institutions are legally required to receive payments in USD, the city will partner with a bank to handle crypto-to-USD conversions, allowing the initiative to move forward without requiring new legislation.
