Unpopular opinion but more founders following the token launch route instead of VCs will lower the bar of the average product.

More extreme outliers like Hyperliquid, for sure. 

But a lower average.

I think the *average* retail launch aims for hype instead of substance. 

Not to say VCs don’t fall for hype, but this is certainly made more extreme when retail is providing the financing.

VC money helps iterate longer before hitting mainstream market, being the underlying rationale? 

Kinda tricky though as token creates community buy in which can also crazily improve the product..
