tbf, I'm not sure I know where to draw the line between app and mini app - and US users like apps. 

the thought comes from seeing the explore tab front and center, and so much activity on FC being actions as opposed to content creation/consumption (tipping, nook bookmarks, minting)

Farcaster has been really good at having developers building apps with no incentives, compared to $120m+ for TON apps and nothing great to show for, yet 

could hardly call this competition, telegram has 800m users or so.

the trading bots like Unibot, Trojan, Banagun etc. 3-4 of them are in the top 20 revenue generating companies in crypto iirc

those 2 are in different categories of apps

mini-apps can overlap but it's mostly entertainment and makes sense to launch where most people are

telegram bills itself as a private messenger (although it’s not e2ee) whereas farcaster is an open and decentralized social network

startups can build private messengers on top of farcaster (like /comm) but tg & fc’s missions don’t seem to overlap
