I certainly haven’t figured this out either, but I have committed to some things & borne rewards for that in my career (not quite socially yet). Lots of my friends really struggling to find good jobs and avenues for self expression.

I guess this is to be expected for some people in their 20s anyway. ‘Lost’ doesn’t describe quite how they look to me. ‘Directionless’ is close.

i like how this designer puts it in this newsletter episode as "going for it."
