What's the de facto process for token ticker symbols these days?

i.e. how do prevent collisions? How does it work across Ethereum vs. Solana? Is CoinGecko the loose consensus canonical source of truth?

So where does that happen? Twitter? Uniswap? Farcaster?

Hype the hell out of it a week before launch dont reveal ticker or contract address as waaaay to many scams will come out , stealth launch it so it's hiccup free ... Drop the alpha in farcaster first then twitter.. watch on Dex scanner a giant green dildo .  Everyone is happy
