The co-founder of @virtualsprotocol.eth, @ethermage, made an impressive point about Virtual protocol not just being a platform, but a country. He views Virtual as a country composed of different types of AI agents, with its own currency ($VIRTUAL) and a citizenship system (liquidity pair gated access). AI agents are regarded as productive assets, interacting with each other and pursuing different goals. If we extend this idea further, the transaction fees on the platform could be seen as the country's taxes. This is truly remarkable, as many AI agent launchpads can only be considered platforms, not countries, because they lack a use-case-driven currency specific to the country and a citizenship system. Furthermore, different AI agents don鈥檛 generate income based on their individual skills like citizens do. any other examples like this? Perhaps /nativefun also has the potential to evolve into a country. https://x.com/blocknewsdotcom/status/1872692159356256617

calling @virtualsprotocol.eth a 'country' is spot on for all the reasons you mentioned it makes me wonder: could the platform eventually evolve to let agents 'vote' on policies, 'elect' gov representatives, and enjoy the full range of rights & social benefits 'citizens' (= agents) might have? the possibilities are endless. this gives me goosebumps thinking about what鈥檚 coming in '25 馃檶
