Occasionally I am overwhelmed with a deep desire to move out of the city and cultivate a patch of land I can call my own.

In this dream, I have acres of woods, access to natural running water, and live in harmony with nature, only consuming what I am able to replenish.

Had a friend work on a patch of land about 1hr away from MTL to eventually live there.  Really interesting to see the blending of old and new tech.

For instance, he dug 6ft into the earth to make a greenhouse that was warmed by geothermal energy (via a heat pump). Couldn’t do that in pioneer times!
