Hi everyone, I have a cousin who has been living in Toronto for almost a year now, and she's finding it very hard to get a job. She has two small kids, aged 2 and 5 years and is finding hard to make ends meet as her hubby only works. She's an accountant by profession, but she's open to doing any type of work. For those who are local to Toronto, where do you usually look for jobs? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

TBH I have been facing the same issue - with two small kids it can be hard to put face time into places where you might find connections to get work. That face time is really important - every job has hundreds (or more) resumes in the pile, so you need another way to get noticed. I suggest trying to go to meetups with the kinds of decision-makers who might be able to give you work. I’ll be going to startup meets and such. If that’s interesting to your friend let me know!

Oh sorry to hear this, looks hard to manage work time and raising kids. I suggested her community events too, but no idea what are there. Is there some site you use? Eventbrite?
