Today I visited a bunch of government run facilities: a public park, a library, and a community center near my house.

I never thought of visiting these places because I haven’t really needed a low cost third space. Now that I do, I recognize the enormous value it brings to my community and I am grateful to have all of the above within walking distance.

You can tell a lot about society based on their libraries.  I used to go to libraries in every country I travelled.  Reliable source of internet. 

In Japan I had to pay to get in.
In France I couldn’t go on weekends nor the entire month of August.

It makes me appreciate the library system we have here in Toronto.
