I've been up to my eyeballs in React and I feel like I am being made to work harder than I would have to in other frameworks and moreover the only reason all of this is so popular is that because massive incomes are tied to it. I don't respect this.

React is like democracy.  Everyone knows it’s garbage but it happens to be better than alternatives (for now).

NextJS is not the same, though.
