One of the things I most enjoyed in my recent trip to Japan; the family-operated restaurants, cafes, shops, bars owned by a 1-2 friends who love bartending, the grandma with a sandwich shop only open on weekends. Everything is financially viable - seems like an impossible standard these days.

The upturn after 2020 makes me wonder if the inability to gather in an office during the pandemic has prompted a change in business organization styles - and, if so, if that trend will continue.
