hey, i would recommend jesse showalter's youtube channel for the figma prototype basics (i.e. how to use smart animate), and once you get the hang of it, community files are a good way to learn particular things that you are interested in learning more. I'm also happy to help answers any questions you have along the way.

Are there any nice tutorials you would recommend? 
I am a senior designer (Adobe CC) but total Figma noob willing to learn.

I can probably open-source my file once I am done, animation wise I am just using smart animate: linear and connect all the keyframes together
