I’ve been pro-PoS and ‘hooray Merge!’ so far and believed the argument that PoS is more accessible/equitable than PoW. But now I'm wondering if that’s wrong, since post-Merge ~5 companies will control 2/3 of validators. Is PoS a centralizing force?

It seems to me that it’s less about what the today state is. But what is the intention of the long term state. POW sort of shows that without large capital you can’t compete. PoS drops the barrier by somewhat, and will improve over time with light clients and more.
