Documentary editing takes around 1 month for every 10 minutes of finished work so a 1 hour 30 min film is about 9 months of editing (can vary based on timeline demands). I have a new appreciation for the amount of editing work that goes into documentaries!

I’ve always thought about the level of editing required but I never imagined it could possibly be that long. A new found respect has emerged.￼

I come from a film and artsy background - I’ve had so many late nights of getting in the flow of editing documentaries. It’s definitely a craft.
