Small note - I joined Coinbase in 2014 first on the compliance team (I didn't have a compliance background but told them I'd join in any role to support) and later transitioned to be a PM

It was the company in the Bitcoin space I saw that was highly prioritizing security and regulatory compliance including hiring the best people in those fields

what made you have this level of conviction on coinbase back then?
