Thank you! Re: language, in my head it was something like the “shape” of the relations between all word vectors (imagined as some kind of multidimensional mesh) ends up being very similar. But maybe it’s just because at that scale the “shape” is just a model of the human experience of reality.

Two Q's if you don't mind... 1: Are "word vectors" & "embeddings" the same? Any reason to use the former vs the latter? 2: I read somewhere that word vectors remain largely the same across languages. Does this make word vectors a "universal language?" This would have wild religious / philosophical implications. 🙏

Chains as evolutionary substrates, meme coins as “living” organisms. Or… Meme coins as data harvesting experiments for future SSI, perfecting Minimum Viable Incentives and variable rewards… emotions controlled with money. In the UBI pod life future, most people’s “job” will be gambling.

Is there anyone doing sociological or psychological studies of crypto traders? Every meme coin cycle is an epic psychological battle for me that I generally lose, and then I think about how there’s hundreds of thousands of people also trying to “optimize” their consciousness for trading.

The voice is great, super sticky. Are there ways to tune the specifics of its “personality,” ie so that it’s always Enthusiastically Conspiratorial Deep State Twee?

(Probably went far out of bounds of what you are talking about but I mean… the right answer to all these problems is “stop using tinder” isn’t it?)

TLDR; if you think dating is a “market” and rank people like livestock, your baseline is giving psychopath vibes. “Why will nobody date me, an 8, something is wrong with women” reads to everyone else as “Why will nobody date me, a psychopath, I hate women for not liking psychopaths.”

Why even generalize, model and game out something that is both totally optional and sucks? I get infuriated that so many speak with such certitude about “dating” as a whole, when it’s one very weird, pretty psychopathic view of it based on apps that horribly simplify and warp a very complex and very subjective t

First of all, I think these theories have gained popularity due to Tinder, which in itself presents an extremely warped and simplified version of “dating,” one that could be considered like “shopping,” but it’s only applicable within these apps. The apps suck. You don’t have to use them.

This convo really does seem to be trending, but it drives me crazy. Why is the idea of a “dating market” just accepted as truth all of the sudden? Attraction is one of the least predictable aspects of human social behavior, and I see gross reduction like 10-point ranking adopted as if some immutable truth.

I still can't figure out if it's just coincidence that post-Elon Twitter feels more "moral panicky" than ever before... the vibe is psychotic these days, really concerning. Only 1% of the US population is actually engaging, but historically that seems to be enough.

Lol wait what? Maybe Farcaster has an opportunity to separate itself from Lens world by moving AWAY from NFTs.... tbh too much NFT action and you end up with a spam machine. The amount of NFTs that are actually interesting / not adolescent collectables is small and def doesn't need a whole tab here.

Additionally, and this is a big, initial "physics" change, but I think *following others* should be forced into "lists" rather than one pool. It's fine right now, but with scale, follows in one pool become more and more noisy, which makes recommendation algos more necessary, which ends up with nth order issues.

Interesting! But one piece of feedback: marketing cannot be an afterthought - it's essential. The DAO will have to put a LOT of energy / effort / money into building a marketing reach that makes the filmmaker confident their film won't be siloed in a crypto corner.

Not really about blockchain itself, def... but crypto? It's the peak of a running indictment of hyper-speculation as the core focus of "crypto" - which never sustainably could nor should have been the primary use case. The experiment unsurprisingly proved human nature + unrestrained speculation never ends well.

This is great but also - I'm baffled by the lack of awareness about Google dorking. Maybe the antiquated h4x0r term "dorking" turns people away but it's wildly useful. Often it's even better on duckduckgo, which still indexes things that Google has removed due to EU regs, DMCAs, etc...
