why would you want to own (non-exclusively, I presume?) a snippet of text that someone else wrote?

I can lift 100 lbs. over my head with very little effort

More concretely, it’s a superset of reasons to collect writing NFTs:

- support the creator & provide feedback
- own, show off & share something important
- co-create: enables bottoms-up storytelling w/ provenance & remixability

Supply & cost is configurable by the writer.

When I was 15 I was featured in an article in a local newspaper. I was so thrilled that I made my parents drive around town and collect every physical paper they could find, to save for the memories.

This is the digital version of that :)

because maybe I'll make a piece of clothes from the most highlighted text that helped me gain inspiration and allow only those owners it to buy or early access. 

Maybe even give them a free version. So long as I can prove they owned it originally.
