The most interesting part of essay is actually the least fleshed out part, how to build new interesting social primitive with crypto? Even today, Warpcast/Farcaster hasn't been able to answer this. And in this regard, Warpcast and any alt clients are on the on a level playing field. So instead of bitching about not having decentralized Channel or DC or Group Cast, clients builder should really focusing on the right problems to solve. It is not interesting at all to build a better Warpcast at all, even if Warpcast is open sourced and you have all the legos in the protocol! New social primitive with crypto! Isn't social primitives a sociological concept? Perhaps we can change the way users interact and encourage more expression of ideas through decentralization, but true change is not guided by technology, compared to the times.The emergence of television was accompanied by the Industrial Revolution, and the emergence of mobile phones was accompanied by the development of transistor processes. I doubt whether relying solely on the development of web3 infrastructure can be seen as a change of the times.
